Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director
Kristan came to SFLA after serving as a political appointee in the Bush administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiative. She founded and served as President of both her high school and college pro-life organizations. She has also worked on the Bush/Cheney 2004 campaign and at the Republican National Committee. In January of 2008, Kristan was awarded the Susan B. Anthony Young Leader Award for her pro-life leadership. Kristan is a graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia. Email Kristan.
Liz Forest, Development Coordinator/ Director of Outreach
Liz was a SFLA Field Agent in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida before becoming the Development Coordinator and Director of Outreach. She has been involved in pro-life outreach since high school. Liz is a graduate of the Franciscan University of Steubenville where she double majored in Business Marketing and Theology. Email Liz.
Becky Banks, Programs Coordinator
Becky graduated in 2007 from Ohio University, where she majored in Political Science. In college, Becky ran the successful election campaign of the Athens County Auditor, Jill Thompson, and helped lead a charity organization, the OU College Republicans, and the Athens County Republican Women’s club. She was an SFLA Field Agent during the fall 2007 semester in the Georgia and South Carolina region before becoming the Programs Coordinator. Email Becky.
Rebecca Leonard, Field Coordinator
Rebecca, from Michigan, has always been moved to help the defenseless. She founded the pro-life club at her high school and since then has campaigned for many pro-life politicians. Rebecca graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville where she majored in history. Email Rebecca.
Sarah Bunch, Field Coordinator
Sarah received her B.A. from Old Dominion University in 2004 and her M.A. in Government from Regent University in 2006. She has experience organizing and motivating pro-lifers as she has worked on five political campaigns in her home state of Virginia. While in college, she also served in several leadership positions as a member of her sorority. Email Sarah.
Lucy McVicker, Office Manager
Lucy came to work for Students for Life of America in April 2008 after graduating from Portland State University with a Bachelors of Science in Arts and Letters and a minor in Spanish. She has been active in the Portland pro-life community since she was in 7th grade and was the chair of Portland State Students for Life for a year and a half and founded and chaired Students for Life of Oregon – the state-wide group, as well as holding various leadership positions on campus.
